I found this when I was looking for information about the Haysville car show. After losing over half the pictures I took at the Lead Sled Spectacular, I could hardly believe my eyes when you had captured the pictures I lost. We are the people who own the White 83 Buick Regal the one with the album on the hood with pictures of our 61 Buick Bubbletop. The Leadsled show was our first experience of showing a car, up till them we were long time gawkers, but never a participant. We were parked beside the 57 Ponitac that I dubbed Pontero (the red one that was made into a truck). I really appreciate this site, and spend hours reliving all those old shows. THANKS AGAIN!!! I was especially looking for Ford coupe and busines coupe pictures from the 40's. I'm a VOLVO 544 fan and I have them 3 pieces. One 1962 Special original, 1965 Special original and 1965 Sport which I saved from getting welded. And futher more the ex owner had made some new structures for the outside and it looks close to the 40's Ford coupe..busines coupe. I have decided to take the modification to its end because I want save the car. One more thing that influenced my decision was that the car have been inside from 1987 so it is in great conditions. No rust and all necessary parts with it. It will take some time but I know it is going to look good. I also know that the swedish designers, building the VOLVO 444 and 544 type, have taken influenses from the USA an especially from Ford from 40's and 50's. So thank you for your photos which help me to build my VOLVO 544/ FORD COUPE....mix. I will send you photo if you want. Do you have any idea where I might obtain this info on the web? Question #2. The vehicle was built originally for the state of TN parks system, complete with a factory installed teardrop spot light. The guy I bought it from said it had a 250 straight 6 in it but stickers(decals) I found in the glove box say it's a 237. Any clue what I really have? I know I have a transmission that was built for work because first gear is a granny gear and with three on the tree, I'm in 3rd in no time. (I'm obviously not a motor head, however I DO know it's a straight 6!). I'd sure appreciate any help I can get. Thanks.
