However, I did notice a small problem. The truck you have listed as a 1954 Dodge isn't. It's a 1948 to 1952 Dodge. The 1954 was the first year for the one piece windshield (I own one) and the fenders on the truck listed were last used in 1952. The only reason I bring this up is I'm looking for photos of 1954 trucks so I can restore the one I have. The '54 is the first of the C series. The B series ran from '48 to '53. I bought it some years ago in New Bern, NC from a small corvette restoration shop. They told me the engine, trans, carb, etc, was from a 68 corvette, and that it wa a 327..I took them at there word. A couple of times I had chances to look up info on the engine and it corresponded to what they said. I haven;t yett found a source that will dogmatically say it is from a vette, that it is a 327, and so on. I seem to remember a few years a go looking in a reference that said there were 2 327 engine that year. One was a 300 horse, the other was a 350 horse engine. The engine has corvette valve covers and double hump heads. I am involved in a full restoration of the car now with the engine out. I would like to have the peace of mind of knowing exactly what it is. Here are the numbers: On the right side of engine, in front of the head reads: V0229HE also 185413318 On the rear top of the engine: 3914678 I will gadly send you more numbers if you need. I also would like to verify if the intake, carb, and trans is a matching set. Please help me if you can. God bless, R. Here, in Romania we don't have to much pre 1968 cars (that's the year when the first Romanian car "Dacia 1100" was manufctured), and I think you guess the're werry few antique American cars in Romania. The big problems of Romanians is that they don't respect the old things (that includes cars). Until a fwe yeras ago (4-5) in the parking of Ministerul Transpoturilor (The Ministrey of Transports), near Gara de Nord (Northen rairoad Station) was a '54-'57 "Cadillac". Unfortently for the car, it hat a drunky owner, and every time somebody ask about the car he throw with the bottle after him . Unfortently I don't know what happed to the car. Antoher car owner had the funny ideea of insertig his car (an early '50's "Dodge) in a house wall. Another old American cars you can find in Romania (from my knowings) are an 1928 "Ford A Raodster", an 1930 "Ford pick-up), an 1935 "Ford V8", an 1938 "Bucik T41 Special", an 1939 "Chevrolet" Name: Shannon Holcomb Email: sholcomb@vatterott-college.edu From: 65.70.129.83 Location: St. Joseph, Mo USA Comments: I own a 1957 chevy townsman wagon and a 1948 Dodge d-24 both are original daily drivers.
