Jeff, Bill, and I got to recalling the time the Arkansas river was up
When the river is going downQuite a few years ago, the Arkansas river and Cowskin creek got out of their banks and my mom Johnie Davis came to Wichita to stay with Diane and I for a short time.
After a while, she was anxious to get back to the "l'il red house" and since the road was washed out, Jeff said he could take her in through the field on his 3 wheeler.
Those of you who knew my mom would understand when she said something like "Well, what are we waiting for?"
