Several brick buildings were erected on the south side of Fifth Avenue in the
1880's. A second story was added to the Funk and Parker, and Justice and
Butlers new brick building, and used for an Opera House. The whole community
could enjoy the many talents and arts of local and imported artists at the
Opera House.

The Music Studio
The music studio, being separate from the main building, is of great advantage
in our training. The privacy thus afforded gives the students more freedom
and confidence, besides removing disturbing sounds from other classes. The
studio has an entrance into the gymnasium and thus provides excellent convenience
for the study of folk games and rhythmic work also.
