BYLAWS of ALUMNI SOCIETY Belle Plaine Kansas

NAME This organization shall be known as "The Alumni Society of Belle Plaine Public School"
OBJECT The object of this organization is to maintain fraternal feeling among its members; to aid each other in business relations; to hold an annual reunion of its members; to discuss subjects of science, art, and literature.
MEETINGS One annual meeting shall be held as nearly as practicable to the time of the Annual Commencement of the Public Schools and Special Meetings may be held upon call of President and Secretary.
MEMBERS The members of this society shall consist of graduates of the Belle Plaine Public Schools.
OFFICERS The officers shall consist of a President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer and an executive Committee of three members all of whom shall be elected by majority vote at the annual meeting.
DUTIES The President shall preside at all meetings, preserve order, appoint officers and committees not provided for, countersign all orders drawn by Secretary on Treasurer, with Secretary, call special meetings and perform such other duties as usually devolve upon such officers.

The Vice-President shall perform the duties of the president in his absence or inability to act.

The Secretary shall keep all records of the Society. Draw orders for payment of money from Treasury, call special meetings on order of president and have general charge of the correspondence of the society.

The Treasurer shall receive all money belonging to the Society, and pay out the same only on order of Secretary signed by the President.

The executive committee shall provide places for meeting arrange programs for entertainment and make all needed arrangements for the good of the Society.
FEES Every person on becoming a member shall pay a fee of 10 cents.
QUOROM Seven members shall constitute a quorum for transaction of business.
AMENDMENTS Any changes in these laws may be made at any meeting by majority vote.
