The Rod

To the best of my knowledge the body is a 31 Pontiac 5 window coupe. It is receiving a 354 Chrysler hemi backed by a 1957 Plymouth 3 speed o/d manual transmission. The rear end is 9 inch Ford unit with 3.70 gears. The induction system is a Weiand WC-245 intake manifold and 4 Stromberg 97 carbs. I am trying to keep a nostalgia look. It will use a 38 Ford dash and 39 tail lights w/blue dots (maybe, can't decide). I am trying to make as many of the parts and do as much of the work I can myself to save money… and maybe for a little bit of pride :>) Some parts can't be made so if you know anyone with old hemi parts laying around direct them my way. The steering is a Vega cross steering setup. Currently it is receiving a new framework in the body to replace the wood. Working on the top filler now and more bracing.

The x-member is a little overkill but I would rather error on that side.
